Windows Mobile Pocket PC

Hi there HNH,
I installed the trial version of the Chi-Eng dictionary but there is no way to input chinese characters. I could only scroll through them. Help please.

Thanks,
Adam

device type

What is your device make and model?

make and model

Dell Axim x50 (qvga model) running WM2003SE.

Please check your download

You might have downloaded the wrong version. Please make sure you downloaded the Windows Mobile Pocket PC version here http://www.hnhsoft.com/dlppc.

If you think the version is correct please go to Help->About and let us know the exact version number.

reinstalled

I uninstalled and reinstalled from location you specified. It saw its version v3.0.1.2

The only input methods I have are

Block recognizer
Keyboard
Letter Recognizer
Transcriber

There is nothing for chinese characters. So the only way to do a look up is to scroll through thousands and thousands of characters.

Chinese input

Our Chinese input does not become one of your system input methods. While in Chinese->English mode, make sure the Chinese input button is enabled, then just input Pinyin using the English letters.

The Chinese input button is the 6th button on the tool bar located at the bottom of your screen. It is the one next to the "En" button. You can see a screen shot here http://www.hnhsoft.com/images/dictec/s5.bmp.jpg

Entering Hanzi

I am sure he means he wants to enter the Hanzi with a stylus.

I hope you will make this basic feature, that will make this software sufficient for me (and many others?). The camera scan option will be great as well, of course :-)

thanks

Thanks. I have responded to your other posts as well. Please note that our dictionary is compatible with other Chinese input method you may have installed in the system. If you like a third party input method, you can use it to input Chinese into our dictionary.
