i get the "sound capability error" and yes my phone is a sony ericsson P990i.
and then after that i also get the message " javaxmicroedition media exception symbian OS eror.=-4: not enough memory - GDU handle blocking operation".
but i can assure you that i have 2 Gig memmory stick and the memory shouldnt be a problem.

need more information

Hi,

We need to collect some more information from you:

1. Are you using the latest version 3.0.2?
2. When you get the error saying "sound capability error", can you
select "continue" from the menu? (On Sony Ericsson P990, this menu item
may be located in the drop down menu and not directly on the screen.)
What happens when you select continue?
3. Can you reboot your phone and try again? The memory issue might be
related to other applications.

yes i only had this P990i (

yes i only had this P990i ( and not P990 as you mentioned ) a few months ago so every thing should be uptodate as i have updated the phone software also when i bought it.

yes i can repoot but it does the same thing again., infact i am going to try it again as i am writting to you.

yes it is working well, there is no error messiges at all... i dont know what happened but it seems to have resolved it self fort the moment.

It's great to hear that it now works. Rebooting helps because other
application may be using too much memory.
