8830 installation issue

BlackBerry

Good morning.

I can't seem to install the English-Chinese dictionary file (EN_CN_Dictionary.ipd) into my BlackBerry 8830 (Verizon). I think it may be the free space, as it loads the application fine, but I can't restore the dictionary file.

I have bought a 2GB microSD card and put it in the device... is there a way to install it now?

Thanks,

installation

In the current version you will have to install to the main memory.

What problems did you run into when you install?

unable to install dictionary

I was able to install the application itself, but not the dictionary.

When I go to the Desktop Manager and try to restore the English-Chinese dictionary (EN_CN_Dictionary.ipd), it does not load properly into the BlackBerry.

It doesn't give me an error message, though -- the BlackBerry just has the "Connected to Desktop" screen up for a long time (~5-10 minutes), and when the device goes back to normal, there's still no English-Chinese dictionary in the application's list.

Please let me know what I can do to solve this. As I mentioned before, I do have a 2GB microSD card installed.

Thanks,

installation

Do you have enough free space on your main memory? The current version can only be installed on the main memory, due to compatibility considerations. We will try to support expansion card in future versions.
