Ch-Eng dic Fonts too large!

Windows Mobile Pocket PC

I was considering buying the ch-eng dictionary for pocket PC, but when I installed the trial on my Eten x500+, (a vga device), the fonts in the screen with the audio pronunciations are MUCH too big! I have to scroll a lot to read one line, and find the speaker icons. Please help, as it is almost unusable as is.

Thanks for your reply!

VGA mode

Is the VGA mode native, or are you using a third-party software to enable it?

Fonts too large

This is a native VGA device. Screen resolution is 640 by 480. It is the Eten X500+, as I stated in the original email.
Thank you!

I have an O2 Flame and also

I have an O2 Flame and also have the large font problem. The o2 Flame is also a VGA device. I find it usable still but having the fonts smaller would be much better. Also the peon input panel built in is unusable. (so I use 3rd party chinese input which is ok)

any progress?

I am now in China and could use your dictionary if you have fixed this issue for my device.

Thanks!

Answer #6 from Microsoft. We will investigate to see if there is a work around.

First thing, I do want to

First thing, I do want to comment that your software is great! Quality (in terms of the GUI and Chinese pronouniciations) is very good; English pronouniciations could use some improvement.

I've recently purchased a new phone (HTC Diamond) with WM6.1; and the E-C dictionary display Chinese way too large. This should not happen and there are fixes for this; as other similar software (e.g. LingvoSoft) display Chinese fine on my HTC.

Please fix the issue asap.

WM6 vga issue

Unfortunately there is still no fix for this issue. This has to do with a specific implementation of a Microsoft software component. However we will continue to look for a work around. Thanks.
