blackberry 8830 installation problem

i am a mac user and need some help installing the chinese-english dictionary on my blackberry 8830. i have tried to install OTA many times and keep getting the "com.hnhsoft.mdict.sync.applicationexception:connection timed out (app)" message everytime i try it. i have a data plan with verizon that should accomodate this type of ota installation. i have tried to use pocketmac to install and have not had any success with that method either. please help i really need this dictionary tool for my trip to china in two weeks.

Do you always get this exception at the beginning of the data installation?

no this exception comes

no this exception comes about half way through the download. i select the dictionary from my menu then select download dictionary from the drop down list and then chinese-engllish and then it starts to download and half waythrough the download it seems to stop working. i have tried many many times for about two weeks now and no success. is there something i have missed? i should clarify that i have downloaded the program and the icon appears in my menu on my blackberry home page but when i go to "download the dictionary", and begin to download OTA that's when i encounter my problems and usually about half way through the download.

ota problem

sorry for the inconvenience. we are aware of some intermittent OTA download problems with similar symptoms, and we are investigating. Normally for customers experiencing this problem we recommend to install via BlackBerry Desktop Manager. is it possible for you to find a PC to install this?

thanks for your help and i know that it isn't supposed to be compatable with mac. so i will try to use a 3rd party PC to download it to my BBphone.
