China2Go halts at startup
Submitted by pentti_kotiaho on Sat, 2006-12-09 18:59. Palm OSHello! I have installed China2Go (Mandarin) into Palm T2. Installation goes fine but when I try to start program I get message "China2Go The program is loading, please wait" And everything stops there. I have well memory (11 M free), palm OS is 5.2.1, everything should be fine. What could go wrong? Should I have Chinese OS installed?
Thanks in advance,

No sound on China2Go on Palm Zire 72
Submitted by sdbckwok on Tue, 2006-12-05 01:19. Palm OSLoaded both prc and pdb files onto Palm Zire72 running Palm OS 5.2.8. Successfully activated program and registered with license key. No sound at all when tap speaker icon. My sound from other programs on Palm is working fine, like Real Player. Loaded programs onto main memory. Main memory has 7mb left after loading. De-install all China2Go programs and reloaded again. Still no sound. Please advise. Thinking buying dictionary also. Anxiously wait for support.
Speak DB in expansion card
Submitted by robb on Sun, 2006-12-03 14:43. Palm OSI would like to have the program in RAM while the large speech files are on the SD card. Much like Beik and Slovo dictionaries. Swapining speech files in and out of ram is slow (ZLauncher takes 6-8 seconds) and keeping them in RAM all the time doesn't leave me much for my other programs.
I would be willing to be a BETA tester if needed.
Thank you
Japan2Go will not load
Submitted by hmoore7 on Mon, 2006-11-06 22:25. Palm OSI purchsed the Asian pack and have loaded onto my SD card on my Treo 650
I can run all of the Phrase packs except the Japan2Pack.
When ever I run the Japan2Go app I get a "create database from resource error"
and then it quits.
What can be the problem with this app?
Thanks
PS: I also tried to download a different copy, but had the same results.
I tried to load it in memory on the Treo 650 and it works from the internal memory but not from the card. And I need this too work from the card and not the internal memory.
Is uninstall absolutely necessary?
Submitted by lmcjipo on Thu, 2006-10-26 23:40. Palm OSIs it really necessary to uninstall the previous version of the phrasebook if you are installing an updated (bug-fix/minor update) version. For example, if you go from China2Go v3.0.0 to v3.0.1 or v3.0.2. I am not referring to going from let's say v3.0.0 to v4.0.0.
I don't mind uninstalling it if it is absolutely necessary/required but I find it a nuisance to re-enter my registration information each time especially since I purchased Asian Pack for the PalmOS and I have to re-enter my registration information for 4 programs (Cantonese2Go, China2Go, Japan2Go, and Korea2Go).
Don't the old files get over-written by the new files if the old files remain on the device when I install the newer version?
I'm referring to the PalmOS version of your phrasebooks.
Thanks.
Cannot find voice database
Submitted by sshatz on Thu, 2006-10-26 20:52. Palm OSI installed a trial version of Italy2Go on my Treo 650. It worked fine, except of course, there was no voice. I purchased and registered the program. Now, when I try to start it, I get the message, "Resource Error: Cannot find the voice database, the program couldn't play the sound!". I don't have enough free RAM to install the voice module in memory (I currently have 4374K free), so I installed it on my SD card (under PALM/Launcher) as the installation instructions indicated. What do I need to do to get this to work.
Also, I've looked for words with associated tips, but have not found any? Is this feature enabled? If so, can you please give me an example of a word that has an associated tip? Thank you.
Sound Volume on Palm TX
Submitted by LouP on Mon, 2006-10-23 13:30. Palm OSHi,
I downloaded the trial version of the France2Go phrase book but can not seem to be able to adjust the volume level. I am seriously considering purchasing this but the lack of volume control is a concern to me. The system level volume adjustments on my TX have no effect on the volume in this program and it is too loud to use earphones.

Hardware requirements for Phrase books
Submitted by atyart on Mon, 2006-08-14 15:30. Palm OSHello,
I am trying to use the phrase book on a Palm Zire 31 running Palm OS 5.2.8.
When I start the programm it tells me "Sorry, your device is not supported in current version".
Since I match the only requirement I found on your site (Palm OS > 5.2), I am wandering what other requirements there are and if there is a chance to get it to work somehow?
I am using the latest version of France2Go (downloaded yesterday, shows version 1.0 in Palm and claims to be 3.0.1 on download.
Thanks for your help,
regards,
Andreas Tyart
Installing on External - LifeDrive
Submitted by Kensong on Sat, 2006-08-12 08:35. Palm OSHi,
I tried to install in Palm/Launcher directory but China2Go app cannot locate it's audio file. Only if I install it in the Applications directory of the Hard drive can it work. However because 3rd party launchers only support the Palm/Launcher directory, what can I do to have China2Go work from external card? I tired installing it on the SD's Palm/Launcher directory and I get the same issue. Thanks for any help.
