chinese characters on wwe htc touch

i have a htc touch in wwe, and applied a registry patch to enable it to display chinese characters system-wide. i am using the simsun.ttc from my xp for this. now, in the chinese-english dictionary, some characters are too small, especially the complex ones (for example, the last few in the dictionary). i dont know if the simsun influences the display in the dict at all, but i do know that i would really love to have bigger fonts in the dict, especially for the chinese characters, and even more so for the characters set in bold type. the dictEC-bigfont.zip posted a while ago doesn't work (the touch complains about an invalid signature)

any suggestions?

get rid of medical terms

is there a way to display only useful and popular words in the english>chinese dictionary? it has thousands of useless medical terms and legal terms that are not useful in conversation, is there a way to turn them off so you can hit the target word and say it faster? thanks

Cantonese-English dictionary

I'm setting out for China again next week.
I was there last summer and got to try out my newly purchased HNHSoft
Cantonese-English dictionary with my Toshiba e830 PPC.

I would say I had mixed results.

I was able to make use of the Eng-Cantonese translations but when it came time to translate from Cantonese to English we had many problems.

First off, it is quite difficult to navigate through the Chinese characters to key in your word.

Secondly, more often than not my friend just couldn't find the Chinese words she was looking for. That was quite disappointing.

Has the size of the Cantonese dictionary increased since last summer?
Is it any easier to key in Cantonese characters now?

TIA

HTC Touch installation of English-Chinese Dictionary

I just purchased H&H English Chinese dictionary for my HTC Touch with Windows Mobile 6 Professional. Installation shows that I only have 9 MB free main memory, which is abviously not enough. But I also have 1 GB memory card, however the installation procedure doesn't recognize it. I sucessfully installed the Chinese 2 Go package using the memory card. What could be the problem? Does the installation utilizes main memory before it moves the application to the memory card? Such behavior would explain the problem. Please advise

I have been using this dictionary for a number of years but often in a crippled form. However it is such an excellent program I have purchased the latest version 9/10/07 (3.o2 ?) to use in my new TyTn ll with windows mobile 6. I would be interested to hear other users experiences of this new version in order to keep up-to-date. - Bai Hou

Ch-Eng dic Fonts too large!

I was considering buying the ch-eng dictionary for pocket PC, but when I installed the trial on my Eten x500+, (a vga device), the fonts in the screen with the audio pronunciations are MUCH too big! I have to scroll a lot to read one line, and find the speaker icons. Please help, as it is almost unusable as is.

Thanks for your reply!
:-)
Conflict between Phrase Book and Dictionary

I have both the China2Go and Chinese-English Dictionary. If I run the dictionary and then try to start China2Go, nothing happens and the phrase book does not show up in the tasks. After a soft reset, I can start the Phrase Book again. If I start the phrase book first, then I can start the dictionary, but it clobbers the phrase book, which disappears. Both are installed on the Storage Card of my T-Mobile MDA III Plus (HTC P33600i). It happens on both Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Mobile 6. China2Go version 3.something (can't find where to get the version number). Dictionary is 3.0.2.

Unable to load on HTC Wizard

I had purchased a Europe pack some time back. ALl the 4 languages were working ok. Recently I hard reset my phone for some other issue and the whole OS was reformatted. Now I have tried to load back the 4 languages, but for some reason France2go fails to load. Other 3 languages have loaded OK and are working OK. For France2go, on every attempt I get a message that the 'install was unsuccessful'. I have tried downloading the file again from your website but it gives the same problem. Kindly help.

Options Menu/Tab

MAKE AN OPTIONS TAB

I write this because I am considering HNH products. I presently have Lingvosoft products which are Ok, but not as smooth to operate as HNH. Their study/flashcard option is a seperate slow starting option, and the phrase book doesn't have pinyin--only a very quiet voice.

However, now my comments are for HNH improvements, which could get me to buy it as well.

Most programs (pocket pc and desktop) duplicate all functions through the options tabs. HNH Dictionaries need this feature more than most because there are so many problems with the buttons on the display.

1)
In the Chinese Phrase book, there is supposed to be a button for switching between simplified and traditional. However, it is not there. The Chinese character box covers the bottom quarter of the page. Yet when I switch my pocket pc to landscape mode (which I don't like) I can see the button.

2)
In the dictionary, I added the new larger font (beta version) and my "add to study" button disappeared.

3)
An options tab could give font size options.
